He utilised those skills to start live sound engineering drama and music productions. From there he joined several bands recording their demos, honing his skills with some basic home-recordings. He decided to further his knowledge by attending Canterbury Christ Church University studying the production pathway on the commercial music course. Graduating top of his year with a first class honours degree. Daniel is currently working within the music scene, engineering and playing live shows with his own projects.

As well as achieving a first class degree, he is a founding member of Dreamweaver and an active musician and engineer in the local music scene.

“Roswell Recordings like to record by combining new, vintage and home-made microphones. We believe its so important to have good knowledge of mic placement and technique to capture a great tone from the beginning. We love experimental and offbeat ideas that develop character on records, we use ‘in the box’ and studio methods to create unique effects. We feel that a warm atmosphere and positive character help bring out a great performance from a band/artist and thats something that we absolutely try and create in the studio. Detail is paramount when capturing the intrinsic quality of a musicians sound, and we aim to work until that’s accurately encapsulated.”
